Privacy Policy

Yieldly ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Sensa Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Yieldly, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Usage data — your license plan and feature usage counters stored locally on your device.
• Property data — when you use the AI address estimate feature, the address you enter is sent to our server-side AI service, which returns an estimated listing price, rent estimate, and property details. When you open the side panel on a supported listing site, the extension reads only the URL of the active tab to parse the property address from it; the page contents themselves are never read or transmitted. The parsed address may be sent to our backend along with the search log described below.
• Property searches — addresses and search queries you enter into the extension, along with the listings you analyze, are sent to our backend and stored alongside your account. We use this to provide rent estimates, prevent abuse, improve search quality, and support troubleshooting. We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.
• Saved analyses — analyses you explicitly save are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.
• Feedback submissions — if you submit a bug report or feature request, we collect the content of your message and your email address (if provided).
• Device fingerprinting data — we collect a cryptographic hash derived from your browser's user agent, language, hardware concurrency, and timezone offset for device security and single-device enforcement. This fingerprint is stored in a database to track and verify your device and prevent unauthorized access to your account.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not track your general browsing history. The extension only sees the URL of the active tab when you open the Yieldly side panel on a supported listing site (Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, LoopNet) and only uses it to extract the property address.
• We do not read, extract, or transmit the contents (HTML, text, images, forms, cookies) of pages you visit.
• We do not collect your physical location, IP-based geolocation, or any data from your device's GPS or sensors.
• We do not collect your contacts, messages, calendar, files, or anything outside the extension.
• We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics SDKs, or fingerprinting for ad targeting.
• We do not store payment card details — billing is handled entirely by our payment processor.
• We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties for their own purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and verify your license plan.
• To enforce plan limits and feature access.
• To respond to support requests and feedback you submit.
• To send transactional emails such as account confirmation and password reset.
• To use device fingerprinting for security purposes, including verifying device identity, enforcing single-device login policies, and detecting potentially abusive accounts.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account credentials and license data are stored securely on our hosted backend platform with row-level security and encrypted storage. Property analyses and settings are stored locally on your device using the Chrome storage.local API and never leave your browser unless you explicitly export them.

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS for all network communication and hashed password storage.

Email Report Data Handling: When you use the email report feature, property data (including address, financial metrics, and calculated analyses) is transmitted to our backend for report generation and then forwarded to an email delivery service. If the property data you are analyzing belongs to another person (such as a landlord's property), you should ensure you have appropriate authority and permissions to share that data before sending the report. We are not liable for improper data sharing or violations of data handling obligations that may arise from your use of this feature.

5. Third-Party Services

Yieldly uses the following third-party services:

• Authentication & database provider — stores account credentials, license data, and token usage securely with row-level security and encrypted storage.
• Email delivery service — used when you send report emails. Property and financial data included in your report is transmitted to this service for delivery purposes.
• AI property data service — when you use the AI address estimate feature, the property address is sent to our server-side service, which calls a third-party large language model provider (currently OpenAI and/or Anthropic) to generate estimated property data (price, rent, beds/baths, sqft, units). Only the property address is sent — no account credentials, email, payment information, or other personal data is included in the prompt. AI-generated values are estimates and may be inaccurate; always verify before relying on them.
• Real estate listing sites (Zillow, LoopNet, Redfin and Realtor.com) — when you open the side panel while browsing these sites, the extension reads only the URL of the active tab in order to parse the property address from it. The extension does not read, extract, or transmit listing page contents. All financial estimates (price, rent, property details) are generated by our own AI service from the parsed address. Yieldly and Sensa Inc. are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with any of these sites.
• Google Apps Script (optional) — if you enter your own Google Apps Script Web App URL in Settings to sync analyses to a personal Google Sheet, the extension will request your permission at that time and POST your saved analyses to the URL you provided. Yieldly does not store, intercept, or proxy this data — the destination is entirely under your control. If you never configure this feature, no permission is requested and no data is sent.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Local browser data (saved analyses, settings) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's local storage.

7. Children's Privacy

Yieldly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

9. Yieldly Score Disclaimer

The Yieldly Score is an illustrative metric calculated based on the property data and financial parameters you provide. The score is not a predictor of actual investment returns, market performance, property appreciation, rental income, or future financial outcomes. Scores are provided for educational and comparative purposes only to help you evaluate properties within your analysis workflow. Always conduct independent research and consult with licensed professionals before making investment decisions.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Yieldly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
